RECOMMENDED TIRES FOR FRICTION DRIVE KITS

The tires below represent the smooth-medium street style tread that works best with our friction drive system. You don't need to use one of the exact tires below, just something similar. An aggressive knobby tire that usually comes with a mountain bike will not work well with our kit. Your local bicycle shop should be able to help you, or you may even be able to find one of these style tires at Target, Dick's Sporting Goods, The Sports Authority or Wal-Mart. Works best with a tire that has a width between 1.75" and 2.25", but a slightly smaller or larger tire width will also work well.
