COMPATIBLE ENGINES

Our kit will mount to a variety of engines, both 2 cycles or 4 strokes, as long as it has a 76mm clutch rotor (sometimes referred to as 78mm), a flat face, and a 70.7mm four-hole engine mounting bolt pattern. Here are some of the compatible engines: Robin EHO35, Honda GX31, Honda GX35, Mitsubishi TLE-43, Mitsubishi TLE-33, Komatsu Zenoah/RedMax 40cc, Tanaka PF3300, Tanaka PF4000, and most of the various engines that are on the popular Chinese standup scooters/pocketbikes (33cc and higher). NOTE: Most engines that are less than 33cc use a smaller clutch (54mm) and would not be compatible with this kit (this includes most weed trimmer engines).

www.monsterscooterparts.com offers 49/52cc Chinese replacement engines starting at $119. Check with Monster to see if it comes with the fuel tank, if not you will need to purchase the standard fuel tank for about another $15. Good quality and very fast and powerful. A few of our customers have great things to say about this engine (basically identical to the Harbor Freight auger engine). They also offer an electric start version, but you would need to get the proper switches, and of course a battery. Also offers the Tanaka PureFire 40cc engine for about $319.

www.partsforscooters.com offers a 49cc electric start Chinese replacement engine for about $179, plus you will need to purchase a standard fuel tank for about another $15.

www.pocketbikeparts.com offers 49cc regular or electric start Chinese replacement engines starting at $149, plus you will need to purchase a standard fuel tank for about another $15.

www.harborfreight.com They offer an earth auger (item #95346) for about $229 that comes with a good quality engine that is compatible with our kit. If you have a Harbor Freight store near you it is often on sale for $189. All you have to do is remove the engine from the auger gear box. You can always swap the engine back to the auger and have both a bicycle engine kit and a post hole digger! The engine is listed as 52cc and 1.5HP, but the HP is more like 2.0 or higher. This is a very powerful engine that works well with heavier riders and can tackle the toughest of hills.

HI PERFORMANCE 2 CYCLE ENGINES:

These 2 cycle high performance engines generate as much as 4HP and rev at as high as 11000 RPM's. These engines are for the serious engine enthusiast that doesn't mind a little extra noise! Yes these engines are loud as they are usually used on gopeds that are intended for racing.

The brand-new GP460 engine is a 45.7cc, 4.2HP (42mm bore, 33mm stroke) performance machine. Designed after the high-revving Zenoah RC style motors, it features a 4 transfer port 42mm cylinder, high-performance case pulsed Walbro carburetor (19mm bore, 15mm venturi, independent high and low jets) "hemi"-style combustion chamber, and full-circle crankshaft. This model replaced the GP420. You will need to setup a separate fuel tank.

The 4HP Chung Yang R420 is the only model they offer that is compatible with our kit. Same as Go-Ped GP420RS engine. You will need to setup a separate fuel tank.
